PC’S RAYFORD REACHES 1,000-POINT PLATEAU IN CAREER SCORING
Blue Hose standout breaks 1,000-point barrier in #21 PC’s 78-73 win over #15 Shaw

CLINTON, SC — Presbyterian College men’s basketball player Chuck Rayford reached a significant milestone over the weekend.

Rayford, a 6-1 junior guard from Greenville, SC, scored his 1,000th career point in the #21st-ranked Blue Hose’s 78-73 upset win over #15 Shaw University last Saturday night. He finished the game with a season-high 28 points, four rebounds, and three steals. The record was reached on a layup with 15:52 remaining in the first half.

Rayford becomes the 12th player in PC men’s basketball history during head coach Gregg Nibert’s 12-year tenure to break the 1,000-point barrier. Rayford currently has 1,024 career points in 65 games. He has a 15.8 points per game career average.
