HAWAII PACIFIC HOSE’S PRESBYTERIAN 
FOR FIFTH STRAIGHT WIN 69-58

HONOLULU, HI - The Hawaii Pacific University men’s basketball team (8-3) defeated Presbyterian College (7-4) of South Carolina 69-58 in a non-conference game at the Blaisdell Center Arena in Honolulu, Hawaii Friday night.

Senior guard Alvin Stephenson scored a team-high 16 points and pulled down seven rebounds to lead the Sea Warriors offense.  Nash Subotic (15) and Nic Walters (15) also scored in double-digits for HPU. The win was HPU’s fifth straight and sixth win in their last seven games.

HPU forward Nate Block had an impressive start with 12 points and four boards in the first half of play. Blue Hose forward Rod Isom led all scorers with 21 points shooting 100 percent from the field (7-7) and the free throw line (7-7).

Head Coach Tony Sellitto earned his 285th win in this his 14th and final season as the HPU skipper. Sellitto has won more men’s college basketball games than any other coach in Hawaii history.  HPU’s off to its best start since it opened 10-1 in 1997-98.
