MILLER HITS CAREER-HIGH 23 AS #25 WINGATE TOPS PRESBYTERIAN 95-89

Wingate, NC--Wingate University sophomore guard Titus Miller (Spartanburg, S.C.) scored a career-high 23 points to lead six players in double figures as the Bulldogs defeated Presbyterian College 95-89 in Cuddy Arena.

The number 25 team in the NABC/Division II Bulletin top 25 poll, Wingate is 13-2 overall (2-0 SAC), while Presbyterian falls to 7-7 overall (0-2 SAC). The Bulldogs visit Newberry Saturday (4 p.m.), while the Blue Hose host Carson-Newman Saturday (4 p.m.).

Wingate has won 24 games in a row at home, dating to last season. Overall, the Bulldogs have won nine games in a row. South Atlantic Conference ìplayer of the weekî Lorinza Harrington (Wagram, N.C.) added 16 points, eight assists and six rebounds for Wingate.

For Presbyterian, junior guard Chuck Rayford had 19 points, while junior forwards Rod Isom and Jeff Whittle contributed 17 points each.
