BLUE HOSE MEN’S BASKETBALL RETURNS TO THE NCAA DIVISION II SOUTH ATLANTIC REGIONAL TOURNAMENT
Presbyterian will play host and top seed Columbus State in opening round of South Atlantic Regional 

CLINTON, S.C. — The Presbyterian College men’s basketball team has been selected to participate in the 2003 NCAA Division II South Atlantic Regional tournament announced today by NCAA officials.

Presbyterian College (25-8) will be the #8 seed in the South Atlantic Regional Tournament taking place March 14, 15, 17 in Columbus, Georgia. The Columbus State University Cougars (27-4) will serve as the host institution for the regional tournament and is the top seed. The Blue Hose and the Cougars will face off in the opening round on Friday, March 14 at the time to be determined later this week.   

The Blue Hose will be making their third NCAA postseason appearance since 1997. Presbyterian advanced to NCAA postseason play on two previous occasions, 1995-96 and 1996-97. Presbyterian is coming off Sunday’s 71-62 loss to Lenoir-Rhyne College in the championship game of the 2003 Food Lion/South Atlantic Conference Tournament.
