BLUE
HOSE BASKETBALL LISTED AMONG NCAA LEADERS
PC’s Haskins ranked 10th in the nation in 3-Point FG%
CLINTON,
S.C. — Presbyterian
College basketball teams is listed among the NCAA
Division II leaders in the latest statistics announced
this week.
The
men’s basketball team (20-6, 6-4 SAC) led by 14th-year
head coach Gregg
Nibert, remained fourth in the nation in scoring
defense (58.4 pts/gm) for the third straight week and
moved up 10 spots to 6th in three-point field goal
percentage (41.6%).
On
the women’s basketball team (11-11, 6-4
SAC), junior guard Billie
Haskins (Greensboro,
Ga.) stayed 10th in the nation for the second straight
week in three-point field goal percentage (43.8%). The
team, led by first-year head coach Leigh Irwin, jumped five spots to 15th in the nation in free throw
percentage at 75.6%.
The
Blue Hose men’s and women’s basketball teams return
to South Atlantic Conference action this Wednesday,
February 19 as they host Mars Hill College. The
women’s game is set to tip-off at 6:00 pm with the
men’s game to start approximately at 8:00 pm.
