BLUE HOSE BASKETBALL LISTED AMONG NCAA LEADERS
PC’s Haskins ranked 5th in the nation in 3-Point FG%

CLINTON, S.C. — Presbyterian College basketball teams is listed among the NCAA Division II leaders in the latest statistics announced this week.

The men’s basketball team (21-7, 7-5 SAC) led by 14th-year head coach Gregg Nibert, remained fourth in the nation in scoring defense (58.8 pts/gm) for the fourth straight week and dropped three spots to 9th in three-point field goal percentage (41.3%).

On the women’s basketball team (11-13, 6-6 SAC), junior guard Billie Haskins (Greensboro, Ga.) moved up six spots to 5th in the nation in three-point field goal percentage (44.4%). The team, led by first-year head coach Leigh Irwin, jumped three spots to 12th in the nation in free throw percentage at 76.0%.

The Blue Hose men’s and women’s basketball teams return to South Atlantic Conference action this Wednesday, February 26 as they travel to Salisbury, N.C. to take on Catawba College. The women’s game is set to tip-off at 6:00 pm with the men’s game to start approximately at 8:00 pm.
