BASKETBALL LISTED AMONG NCAA LEADERS
PC’s Haskins ranked 8th in the nation in 3-Point FG%
CLINTON,
S.C. — Presbyterian
College basketball teams is listed among the NCAA
Division II leaders in the latest statistics announced
this week.
The
men’s basketball team (25-8) led by 14th-year head
coach Gregg
Nibert, moved up one spot to fourth in the nation in
scoring defense (59.2 pts/gm) and are 28th in the nation
in three-point field goal percentage (39.1%).
On
the women’s basketball team (12-15), junior guard Billie
Haskins (Greensboro,
Ga.) moved up one spot to 8th in the nation in
three-point field goal percentage (44.1%). In addition,
she is 35th in the nation in scoring (18.1ppg). The
team, led by first-year head coach Leigh Irwin, stayed 11th in the nation for the second straight week
in free throw percentage at 76.5%.
