HOSE BASKETBALL LISTED AMONG NCAA STATISTICAL LEADERS CLINTON,
S.C. — Presbyterian College men’s and women’s
basketball teams are listed among the NCAA Division II
leaders in the latest statistics announced this week. The women’s basketball
team (8-13, 3-5 SAC), led by 2nd-year head coach Leigh
Irwin, is 16th in team free throw percentage
(76.5%). Individually, preseason
All-SAC senior guard Bonnie
Werner (Kennesaw, Ga.) is 23rd in the nation in
free throw percentage (86.0%). The men’s basketball team
(13-8, 4-4 SAC) led by 15th-year head coach Gregg
Nibert, is 32nd in the nation in scoring defense
(64.9 pts/gm). Both teams play tomorrow night against Wingate University. The Women's basketball team plays at 6 p.m. while the Men's game starts at 8 p.m. |
