HOSE MEN’S BASKETBALL HOLDS ANNUAL BANQUET
CLINTON, S.C. —
The
Presbyterian College men’s basketball team held their annual
banquet over the weekend with several players earning
individual honors.
Blue
Hose head coach Gregg
Nibert cited 15 players as letterwinners for the 2003-04
season.
Presbyterian compiled a 16-12 overall record this past
season including a 7-7 ledger in the South Atlantic
Conference, good for a fifth place finish. Below is a list of

Highlights
Adams (Columbia,
S.C.), a 6-5, 195-pound redshirt junior guard, played in all
28 games with four starting assignments this season. He
averaged 4.8 points, 2.6 rebounds and shot 43.0% from the
field and 66.7% from the free throw line. He scored a
season-high 14 points in PC’s 72-54 win over Lander
University on December 13, 2003.
Ballenger
(Wellford,
S.C.), a 6-3, 205-pound sophomore guard, played in all 28
games with 24 starting assignments this season. He averaged
7.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, and shot 44.9% from the field, 35.6%
from three-point range, and 61.8% from the free throw line. He
scored a season-high 15 points on two occasions, in PC’s
75-63 loss to Armstrong Atlantic State University (11/15) and
in PC’s 72-54 win over Lander University (12/13).
Brown (Greenville,
S.C.), a 6-0, 200-pound senior guard, played in all 28 games
with six starting assignments this season. He averaged 2.3
points, 1.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and shot 50.0% from the
field and 58.8% from the free throw line. He scored a
season-high eight points in PC’s 69-59 win over Erskine
College on November 21, 2003.
Collins (Raleigh,
N.C.), a 6-11, 230-pound sophomore center, played in all 28
games with 16 starting assignments this season. He averaged
8.9 points, a team-best 5.3 rebounds, and shot 54.8% from the
field and 59.4% from the free throw line. He scored a
career-high 23 points in PC’s 69-67 win over Wingate
University on January 14, 2004.
Dellinger (Mauertown,
Va.), a 6-0, 170-pound senior guard, played in all 28 games
with 26 starting assignments this season. He averaged 10.0
points, 2.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists while shooting 50.0% from
the field, 52.8% from three-point range, and 88.5% from the
free throw line. In the classroom, Dellinger has a 3.74 GPA.
In the final SAC statistics, Dellinger ranked first in
three-point field goal percentage for the second year in a
row. He scored a season-high 21 points in PC’s 64-58
overtime win over Lander University on November 29, 2003.
Drum (Rural
Hall, N.C.), 6-6, 205-pound sophomore forward played in all 28
games with 23 starting assignments while averaging 11.9
points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game. For the
season, he shot 44.5% from the field, 34.1%
from three-point land, and 75.9% from the free throw
line en route to second team All-SAC honors. He led the team
in scoring 12 times and in rebounding four times. He scored a
career-high 30 points in PC’s 69-67 overtime win over
Catawba College on January 28, 2004.
Epperly (Roanoke,
Va.), a 6-5, 240-pound freshman center, played in 26 games
this season. He averaged 3.8 points, 2.2 rebounds, and shot
54.5% from the field and 57.4% from the free throw line. He
scored a season-high 11 points in PC’s 62-59 win over
Wingate University on February 11, 2004.
Herren
(Oviedo,
Fla.), a 6-7, 220-pound freshman forward, played in 24 games
with 18 starting assignments this season. He averaged 7.0
points, 4.3 rebounds while shooting 52.3% from the field and
71.8% from the free throw line en route to SAC All-Freshmen
team honors. He scored a season-high 16 points in PC’s 68-65
loss to Carson-Newman College on February 14, 2004.
