BIGGS
SIGNS WITH BLUE HOSE MEN’S BASKETBALL PROGRAM
CLINTON,
S.C. — Drew Biggs
has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at
Presbyterian College announced today by head coach Gregg
Nibert.
Biggs,
a 6-5, 205-pound wing from Alpharetta, Ga., currently plays
for Chattahoochee High School and head coach Duke
Mullis. He averaged 10.0 points and 6.0 rebounds while
shooting 40.0% from the three-point line with 61 made
three-pointers during his senior year. He was selected to the
All-Fulton County team and the recipient of the Chattahoochee
Outstanding Player Award this past season.
During
his senior season, Biggs helped lead Chattahoochee High School
to school record 29 wins against two losses, a fifth place
ranking in Georgia 5-A state rankings, and a quarterfinal
appearance in the state playoffs.
“We
are very excited about Drew and how he will fit in at
Presbyterian College,” said Nibert. “Academically, he is a
great student interested in Pre-Law and athletically he fits
our system of making everyone around him better. He is a
tremendous shooter, plays extremely hard, and is used to
winning.”
Presbyterian
College compiled a 16-12 overall record this past season
including a 7-7 ledger in the South Atlantic Conference, good
for a fifth place finish.
Biggs
becomes the second signee for the Blue Hose men’s basketball
program this season after Patrick Kiscaden of Oviedo, Fla. signed earlier this month.
