BLUE HOSE HOLD OFF BEARCATS FOR 64-58 OVERTIME VICTORY
Dellinger leads PC with eight points in overtime

GREENWOOD, SCThe Presbyterian College men's basketball team held off a furious Lander University rally Saturday night to defeat the Bearcats, 64-58, in the final game of the PBC/SAC Clash at Horne Arena.

PC improves to 3-3 overall, while Lander drops to 2-4.

Andrew Dellinger led the way for the Blue Hose, connecting on 6-of-10 field goals and 5-of-6 free throws for a game-high 21 points. Dellinger was the difference in overtime, scoring eight of the team's 13 points in the in extra period. Sean Dixon added 14 for PC, while Tray Ballenger netted 12. Grant Herren led the team in rebounds with seven.

Lander was paced by Bryson Chattman's 19 points. Richard Gilliam and Kenneth Nether each scored 12 points for the Bearcats, while Michael Griffin added 10. Nether led Lander in rebounds with six.

Lander, which trailed 27-22 at halftime, battled back from a 45-31 deficit to force the game into overtime (51-51) on two Richard Gilliam free throws with 1.8 seconds remaining in regulation.

Presbyterian dominated in the overtime period as the Blue Hose jumped out to a 64-55 lead before Lander cut the final margin to six on a Chattman three-pointer.

PC connected on 23-of-51 field goals for 45.1 percent, while Lander made 21-of-47 for 44.7 percent. The Blue Hose were 10-of-19 from the three-point line, compared to Lander's 9-of-22.
