DELLINGER’S TRIPLE GIVES
PC 69-67 COMEBACK
ROAD WIN OVER WINGATE
Wingate, N.C.----Presbyterian College senior guard Andrew
Dellinger hit a three-point field goal with 4.6
seconds left to give the Blue Hose a 69-67 come-from-behind
victory over Wingate University Wednesday night at Cuddy
Arena. Presbyterian trailed by as many as 18 points in the
second half before making a rally.
Presbyterian is 10-5 overall and 1-1 in the SAC. Wingate is
4-10 overall and 1-1 in the SAC. The Bulldogs will make their
first SAC road trip Saturday, visiting Newberry College for a
4 p.m. tilt. The Blue Hose host Carson-Newman College Saturday
at 4 p.m.

Collins hit a career-high 23 points for the visitors.
Dellinger had 12 points, while sophomore forward Michael
Drum and freshman guard Sean
Dixon had 11 points each. Dixon hit three
three-pointers, while Dellinger buried two trifectas.
For the Bulldogs, senior guards Titus Miller
(Spartanburg, S.C.) and Keenan Dunn (Charlotte, N.C.)
had 16 points each. Freshman guard Ernest Mangum (New
London, N.C.) added 13 points and a team-best three
three-pointers.
Wingate led 50-32 on a three-pointer by Dunn with 15:43 to go.
Dunn’s two-point basket made it 63-47 with 6:42 remaining.
Presbyterian would answer with a 16-2 run, climaxed by
Dixon’s third and final three-pointer at the 2:35 mark.
Wingate led 65-63 at this point.
Bulldog freshman Bryan Grier (Charlotte, N.C.) hit one
free throw at the 1:53 plateau to give Wingate a 66-63 lead.
Collins hit one free throw on the visitor’s next possession
to pull the Blue Hose within two.
After a Wingate miss, Collins hit an inside hoop to tie the
game at 66 with 48 ticks left on the clock. Miller was fouled
in the frontcourt with 22 seconds left and made one-of-two
free throws. The Blue Hose called time out, setting the stage
for Dellinger’s late-game heroics.
