BLUE HOSE BASKETBALL TEAMS OPEN EXHIBITION
 SCHEDULE THIS WEEKEND
PC men take on Columbia Sharkheads on Saturday night
PC women take on Low Country All-Stars on Sunday afternoon

CLINTON, S.C. — The Presbyterian College men’s and women’s basketball teams will open the 2003-04 season this coming weekend with both teams hosting exhibitions games.

The men’s basketball team, under the direction of head coach Gregg Nibert, will host the Columbia Sharkheads on Saturday, November 8 at 7:00 pm at the Ross E. Templeton Center. Former Blue Hose standouts, All-American Bret Jones and All-SAC performer Brian Franklin will compete for the Sharkheads this season. At halftime, the Simpsonville Skippers will perform their routines involving jump ropes and unicycles.

The women’s basketball team, under the direction of head coach Leigh Irwin, will host the Low Country All-Stars on Sunday, November 9 at 2:00 pm also at the Templeton Center. The All-Stars roster is comprised of former college players from the area. Following the exhibition game, a women’s basketball alumni game will take place as well as all alumni present for the exhibition game will be introduced at halftime. An alumni reception will follow the alumni game.

Season ticket packages are still available for the upcoming 2003-04 season. This season the season package will contain all 26 home games for both the men’s and women’s teams. Season ticket packages are priced at $95.00 each, a savings of $22.00 off the individual ticket price. Coupon books are also still on sale with the 20-ticket coupon book selling for $95.00 (savings of $25) and the 10-ticket coupon book selling for $50 (savings of $10).
