BASKETBALL TO HOST 8TH ANNUAL SOUTH ATLANTIC
CONFERENCE/PEACH BELT CONFERENCE CLASH CLINTON,
S.C. — The
Presbyterian College men’s basketball program will host the
8th annual South Atlantic Conference/Peach Belt
Conference Clash on November 26-27, 2004. Admission to the
SAC/PBC Clash will be reduced with the donation of canned
goods. The donations will be split among the four institutions
to be distributed to the four schools area food banks. The
Clash will showcase four schools, Presbyterian College and
Newberry College from the South Atlantic Conference and Lander
University and USC Aiken from the Peach Belt Conference. On
Friday, November 26 Newberry will take on Lander at 6:00 pm
followed by USC Aiken and PC at 8:00 pm. On Saturday, Newberry
will battle USC Aiken at 6:00 pm and Lander will face the Blue
Hose at 8:00 pm. Admission
to the tournament will be $3 for adults with a canned good
donation and free for children 12 & under with a canned
donation. All donations will be split among the four schools
to be given to area food banks prior to the Christmas holiday. The
Clash is in its eighth season of existence since starting
during the 1997-98 season. The Clash hosted by each of the
four institutions on a rotational basis. USC Aiken has a 9-5
mark in the Clash followed by Presbyterian College and Lander
University at 8-6 apiece. Newberry College will look to
improve on their 2-12 mark in the Clash this weekend.
