PC’S DIXON NAMED SECOND TEAM ALL-SAC

CLINTON, S.C. – Presbyterian College sophomore Sean Dixon has been named to the 2004 All South Atlantic Conference second team league officials announced today.

Dixon, a 6-2 190-pound guard from Marietta, GA, has played in 26 games and started 25 for the Blue Hose and led the team to a 17-10 overall record and a tie for third place in the SAC regular season standings with an 8-6 mark.

He currently leads the team in scoring with 14.1 points per game and in assists with 4.1 per game. Dixon also leads the team in free throw percentage (.801) and three-point percentage (.388) and is tied for second on the team in three pointers made (40).

Dixon led the Blue Hose in scoring 13 times and had a season-high of 25 points in PC’s season opening victory over Allen University (11/15). He also led the team in assists 13 times and had a career- high of 12 assists in the Blue Hose’s victory at Tusculum College (2/23).

The Blue Hose open up South Atlantic Conference Tournament play Wednesday night as they host Mars Hill College in the first round. Tip off is scheduled for 7 pm.
