Presbyterian College's Sean Dixon Named SAC Men's Basketball Player Of The Week
Marietta, Ga. native averaged 17.3 pts, 5.3 rbs & 3.0 asts

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Presbyterian College's Sean Dixon was named the South Atlantic Conference Men's Basketball Player Of The Week, league officials announced today.  


The sophomore guard from Marietta, Ga., averaged 17.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and three assists in leading the Blue Hose to two wins in three contests last week.

After scoring a team-high 16 points in a 67-61 loss to USC Upstate last Tuesday, Dixon led PC to a pair of wins in the eighth annual South Atlantic Conference/Peach Belt Conference Clash over the weekend in Clinton, S.C.

The Kennesaw Mountain High School graduate tallied a game-high 20 points to go along with six rebounds and two assists on Friday night in PC's 59-45 win over S.C.-Aiken before scoring 16 points, another game-high, in Presbyterian's 60-48 victory against Lander Saturday night.  Dixon scored seven of PC's final 11 points to seal the win over the Bearcats including a perfect four-for-four at the free throw line in the closing minutes.

Dixon is averaging 16.8 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists while shooting 50.9 percent from the field, 31.8 percent from three-point range and 79.3 percent from the charity stripe on the season for the Blue Hose.

The South Atlantic Conference Player Of The Week is voted on by the league's eight sports information directors.
