LENOIR-RHYNE PUTS AWAY BLUE HOSE 80-60 Hickory, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne College Men's Basketball Team celebrated Senior Night with an 80-60 win over Presbyterian College Saturday at Shuford Memorial Gymnasium in a key South Atlantic Conference game. The Bears, alone in the
second place and one game behind Catawba in the league
standings, improved to 15-9 on the year and 9-3 in SAC play
while the Blue Hose fell to 16-9 and 7-5, respectively. PC's Sean
Dixon (Marietta, Ga.) was the lone Blue Hose to reach
double figures, finishing with 16 points. L-R moved into halftime leading 48-27 and increased the margin to as many as 24 points after intermission. The Blue Hose tried to rally but could get no closer than 15 points the rest of the way. Lenoir-Rhyne next travels to Newberry, S.C., to take Newberry Wednesday at 8 p.m. while Presbyterian faces Tusculum College in Greeneville, Tenn., at 8 p.m. on Wednesday as well. |
