DIXON LEADS BLUE HOSE TO A 59-45 WIN OVER USC AIKEN

CLINTON, S.C. — Presbyterian College sophomore guard Sean Dixon (Marietta, GA) scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Blue Hose to a 59-45 victory over USC Aiken in the second game of the 8th Annual South Atlantic Conference/Peach Belt Conference Clash held at PC Friday night.

In the first half, the Blue Hose shot 47.6% from the field including four-of-nine from three-point land and overcame 12 turnovers to take a 28-23 lead into intermission. Junior guard Tray Ballenger (Wellford, SC) led the Blue Hose with eight points on three-of-three shooting from the field while USCA was led by sophomore forward Josh Geyer (Durham, NC) who tallied 11 first half points.

The Blue Hose extended their lead to as many as 20 points (59-39) in the second half as they held the Pacers to 24.1% from the field including three-of-10 from three-point land. PC dominated the boards versus USC Aiken holding a 42-29 advantage and hit 14-of-19 at the charity stripe while the Pacers shot only 13-of-24 from the line.

Dixon added six rebounds on the night while junior center Johann Collins (Raleigh, NC) and freshman forward Drew Biggs (Alpharetta, GA) each added 10 points apiece. USC Aiken was led by senior center Curt Triplin (Philadelphia, PA) who came off the bench to score 13 points with eight rebounds while Geyer added 12 points.

The Pacers (3-1) will take on Newberry College at 6:00 pm tomorrow night while the Blue Hose will host Lander University at 8:00 pm.
