Kiscaden Posts Season-High 16 Points In Victory Over C-N

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - Pat Kiscaden scored 16 points and Presbyterian held off Carson-Newman 59-51 to keep the Eagles winless in SAC play.

The 16 points were a season-high for Kiscaden (Oviedo, Fla.), who scored 12 of his 16 points on the four treys he hit in the contest.

PC’s leading scorer all season, Sean Dixon (Marietta, Ga.) did not put up his usual numbers offensively.

Still, Dixon tied a career-high with four steals in the game to go along with five assists dished out to his Blue Hose teammates.

Carson-Newman (7-10, 0-6 SAC) kept the game close thanks to Kente Hart's 18 points. Jordan Dixon added 10 for the Eagles while Grant Herren (Oviedo, Fla.) scored 10 for the Blue Hose (11-7, 4-3 SAC).

PC claimed a 27-16 lead at halftime, but Hart scored two straight baskets to open the second half to cut PC's lead to seven points at 27-20.

That would be as close as the Eagles would get all night as Herren hit consecutive shots and Travis Sligh swished a three-pointer to give PC its largest lead of the evening at 51-38 with six minutes remaining.

Jordan Dixon hit a three pointer with 2:49 remaining to pull C-N within nine at 56-47, but PC made three of four free throws down the stretch to claim the eight-point victory.

Presbyterian has one week off before welcoming rival Newberry to the Templeton Center at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27.
