PC Moves Into Three-Way Tie For
First Place In SAC With Win Over C-N

CLINTON, S.C. – Presbyterian finished its 77-72 victory over Carson-Newman on Wednesday evening at the Templeton Center with five different Blue Hose in double figures.

Bryan Bostic and Sean Dixon both tied for the team high in points with 15. Bostic (Norcross, Ga.) finished the night shooting 50% (6-for-12) from the field, while Dixon (Marietta, Ga.) finished the night 6-for-7 from the charity stripe.

Drew Biggs (Alpharetta, Ga.) was a perfect 4-for-4 from the field and 2-for-2 from the free throw line to finish the game with 12 points.

Teammate Brian Epperly came off the bench to score 10. The Roanoke, Va. native was a perfect 3-for-3 from the field.

Pat Kiscaden (Oviedo, Fla,) had three treys en route to 11 points.

Carson-Newman’s Kente Hart led all scorers in the contest with 17 points. He was one of two Eagles in the game to finish with 10 or more points as Jesse McMurray ended the game with 15 points.

The ninth-ranked squad in the South Atlantic region of NCAA Division II, Presbyterian, who has won a season-high seven straight contests, moved into a three-way tie for first place in the South Atlantic Conference with Lenoir-Rhyne and Catawba.

All three teams are currently 10-3 in league play.

Presbyterian (17-7, 10-3 SAC), who is currently 11-1 at the Templeton Center, concludes its 2007 home slate at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 17.

The game will be senior night and the Blue Hose will honor their five seniors prior to the contest.
