Dixon
Named SAC Player of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C.
– Presbyterian College’s Sean Dixon was named the South Atlantic
Conference Men’s Basketball Player Of The Week, league officials
announced today.
Dixon, a senior guard from Marietta, Ga., averaged 19.0
points, 2.5 assists and 2.0 steals in leading the Blue Hose to a 2-0
record for the week.
Last Tuesday, the Kennesaw Mountain High School graduate
scored a game-high 21 points with five three-pointers in PC’s 81-58 win
at home against North Greenville before finishing the week with 17
points in a key road victory in overtime against Lander, 60-59, on
Saturday.
Presbyterian at 3-0 is off to its best start since
opening the 2001-02 season at 4-0.
The Blue Hose have a chance to equal that mark this
evening in a home tilt against Allen University at the Templeton Center.
Gametime is slated for 7 p.m.
The South Atlantic Conference Men’s Basketball Player Of
The Week is voted on by the league’s nine sports information directors.
