Blue Hose Win Season-High Fifth
Straight
HARROGATE, Tenn. – Presbyterian had four
players in double figures and the Blue Hose defeated Lincoln Memorial
73-57 in South Atlantic Conference men’s basketball action on Wednesday
evening at Tex Turner Arena.
The victory is the season-high fifth consecutive for
Presbyterian (15-7, 8-3). It also marked the first time ever that
Presbyterian had claimed a win on the hardwood against LMU as they had
fallen in their first two meetings all-time.
Pat Kiscaden (Oviedo,
Fla.) came off the bench to lead the Blue Hose with 14 points, while
Grant Herren (Oviedo, Fla.) and Drew Biggs (Alpharetta, Ga.) each scored
12.
Bryan Bostic (Norcross, Ga.) added 11 points of his own.
PC controlled the tempo for the entire contest, only
trailing on three occasions.
As has been the case for much of the season, perimeter
shooting proved to be the most potent weapon for PC, as the Blue Hose
knocked down 13 shots from behind the arc to pull away from the
Railsplitters early.
Presbyterian also dominated the boards, tallying 48
compared to LMU’s 33.
LMU’s Bo Brown (Athens, Tenn.) led all scorers with 22
points, while teammate Delroy Burke (St. Vincent, West Indies) came in
off the bench to score 15 for the Railsplitters.
Lincoln Memorial’s only other player in double figures
was senior Artavius Mitchell (Chicago, Ill.) who finished with 10.
Ranked eighth in the South Atlantic region, Presbyterian
now has five days off before welcoming Wingate, who the Blue Hose are
currently tied with for second place in the league behind L_R, to the
Templeton Center for a pivotal league tilt.
Tip-off between the Blue Hose and Bulldogs is slated for
8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 12.
