February 20, 2007 PC In First Place In SAC Entering Final
Week Of Regular Season
CLINTON, S.C. – Entering the final week of the regular season,
Presbyterian at 11-3 is tied with Catawba for first place in the South
Atlantic Conference standings.
Ranked ninth in the South Atlantic region, the Blue Hose have only two
regular season games left. PC travels to rival Newberry on Wednesday for
its final regular season league game at Elezear Arena and then concludes
the regular season at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24 with a game against
Catawba.
The Blue Hose are currently in the midst of a season-high eight-game
winning streak. They closed out their 2006-07 home slate last Saturday
with a 53-50 win over Tusculum.
The victory over the Pioneers ended PC’s home season with the Blue Hose
12-1 at the Templeton Center.
Tip-off between the Indians of Newberry (12-12, 6-8 SAC) and
Presbyterian (18-7, 11-3 SAC) is scheduled for 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb.
21.
