PC Wins Eighth Consecutive Game On Senior Day         Blue Hose Finish Home Schedule With 12-1 Mark At Templeton Center

CLINTON, S.C. –Presbyterian College picked up its season-high eighth consecutive victory on senior day at the Templeton Center on Saturday afternoon with a 53-50 victory over Tusculum College.

With the victory the Blue Hose remain atop the South Atlantic Conference standings with an 11-3 mark in league play. Presbyterian is 18-7 overall.

The win also ends the Blue Hose 2006-07 regular season campaign at home with PC only succumbing in one contest. Presbyterian was 12-1 in the friendly confines of the Templeton Center this season.

It also leaves the seniors with a gaudy 45-7 mark at the Templeton Center since their arrival four years ago. The five senior student-athletes have not lost more than one game in a season at home in the last three seasons.

Senior Sean Dixon (Marietta, Ga.), who recently passed the 1,000-point plateau for his career and now has 1,067 points for his career, ended his final regular season home game at Templeton Center with a team-high tying 11 points in 34 minutes of action.

Fellow senior Grant Herren ended his final regular season home tilt at PC with 10 points. The Oviedo, Fla. native is nearing the 1,000 point club himself as he ended his day with 939 career points.

Sophomore Bryan Bostic (Norcross, Ga.) finished with 11 points and one steal to conclude his day as the only other Blue Hose in double figures.

Only one Tusculum (12-14, 5-10 SAC) men’s basketball player ended the day in double figures in Chris Poore, who had a game-high 15 points. Poore was 4-for-10 from the field and 7-for-12 from the charity stripe in the game.

The Blue Hose next travel to rival Newberry for an 8 p.m. game on Wednesday, Feb. 21.
