PC WOMEN’S TEAM & USC SPARTANBURG MEN’S TEAM CLAIM WINS AT FIRST ANNUAL PC INVITATIONAL CROSS COUNTRY MEET
UNCP’s Jimenez & USCS’ Dimsdale take individual honors

CLINTON, SC — Presbyterian College women’s cross country team and the men’s cross country team from USC Spartanburg won the team titles at the first annual PC Invitational Cross Country Meet held on campus Saturday morning.

On the men’s side, USC Spartanburg ran away with the win, scoring 24 points while UNC Pembroke finished second with 61 points. Host Presbyterian College finished fifth with 127 points.

The Rifles placed five runners in the top 8 to take the title and were led by Tim Gibbons (26:51.84) who finished second followed by teammates Brandon Cantrell (26:57.34) for third and Travis Smith (26:57.89) finished fourth.

Individually, UNC-Pembroke’s Mike Jimenez posted a 26:46.78 time on the 8K course to finish first.
