BLUE HOSE CROSS COUNTRY INKS 2 MORE SIGNEES
Local standout Vosburgh signs with PC

CLINTON, S.C. — Sara Harris and Justin Vosburgh have signed national letters of intent with Presbyterian College, announced today by men’s and women’s cross country head coach Leigh Irwin.

Harris, a native of Prosperity, S.C., is a senior at Mid Carolina High School where she ran for head coach Jason Long.

Vosburgh, a 5-10, 146-pound resident of Laurens, S.C., is a senior at Laurens District 55 High School where he ran for Blue Hose alumna and Raider head coach Lisa Printup. Vosburgh was a member of the Raider squad that qualified for the state meet each of the last two seasons. In addition, the Raiders’ team won the Region 1-AAAA meet during Vosburgh’s junior year and finished second this past season.  He is a three-year letterwinner in cross country and a four-year letterwinner in track, where he ran the 1,600 meters.

“I am very pleased with the addition of Sara and Justin to this year’s recruiting class,” said Irwin. “They will be valuable additions to our program and will make an immediate impact next year.”

Harris and Vosburgh join Lee Bugay (Lexington, S.C.), Drew English (Summerville, S.C.), Tarith Forrester (Lexington, S.C.), and Grace Mitchell (Summerfield, N.C.) who signed with the Blue Hose earlier this year.

The Blue Hose are coming off a 1999 season where the women’s squad posted two top five finishes in seven meets while the men’s squad posted a season-best fourth at the Gardner-Webb University Invitational.
