TWENTY-EIGHT PARTICIPANTS RACE IN THE PRESBYTERIAN COLLEGE FIRST ANNUAL QUALITY CARS/GREEK SHOP 5K
PC's Drew Brannon and Clinton High School's Jessica Sifford win overall race

CLINTON, SC -- Presbyterian College's Drew Brannon and Clinton High School's Jessica Sifford won the 1st Annual Quality Cars/Greek Shop Presbyterian College 5k race/walk held this past Saturday morning.  

For the men, Brannon was the overall winner followed by Ricky Johnson.  The 1st PC student was Jack Carmody followed by Luke Faulkenberry.  The 18-under age group saw James Sifford finish first and David Hughes finish second.  In the 19-29 age group, Richard Lee finished first followed by Ben Rosebrock and Jason Blackwell.  Bill Tumblin won the 30-36 age group and Michel Willis finished second.  In the 37-39 age group, Dr. Brian Beasley finished first followed by Jay Long and Brian Weirick.  Al Lylerly won the 40-49 age group. David Spark finished first in the 50-59 group followed by Joel Rexford.

The twenty-eight participants were made up of Presbyterian College students, faculty, staff, and members of the Laurens County community.  

On the women's side, Sifford was the overall winner followed by Sheryl Owens.  Mandy Caldwell was the first PC student to finish followed by Meredith Schmidt.  In the 18-and under category Katie Polson was the winner and Jessica Wilson was the runner-up.  Essie Buxton won the 19-29 age group while Michelle Wright won the 30-26 age group.  In the 40-49 category, Donna Brehmer won first place as Cheryl Bryson was the runner-up.
