BLUE HOSE CROSS COUNTRY REPORTS FOR PRESEASON

CLINTON, SC –Presbyterian College’s cross country teams reported over the weekend to start preseason conditioning.

“This year should be a very promising season,” said first year head coach Mike Rosolino.  “We will have to work hard and avoid key injures to be successful.”

The Presbyterian College men’s and women’s cross country teams are coming off their best season in 2000 in their short history as a collegiate sport for the Blue Hose. The women’s program won a school record four meets with eight top five performances while the men’s squad won a school record two meets and garnered seven top five finishes. Both teams finished the season ranked #4 in the NCAA Division II Southeast Region.

The Blue Hose will open the season on Saturday, September 1 when they travel to Greenwood, SC as they will compete in the Lander University Invitational.  The men start at 8:30 am and the women run at 9:15 am.  Last year the women’s squad took the title and the men finished second behind USC Spartanburg.
