WOMEN FINISH 4TH AND MEN FINISH 5TH AT USCS INVITATIONAL

CLINTON, SC - The Blue Hose women's and men's cross country teams continued their solid running this season, finishing fourth and fifth respectively this past Saturday at the USCS Invitational in Spartanburg, S.C.

The women's squad, led by All-SAC standout junior Tanith Forrester, finished fourth out of seven teams. Forrester, a native of Lexington, S.C., led the way with a fourth place individual finish with a time of 20:40 in the 5k race. Sophomore Kate Whipple (Irmo, S.C.) continues to run well this season and finished with a time of 21:55, good for 7th place.

The men's squad was again led by the senior duo of Jack Carmody (Atlanta, Ga.) and Drew Brannon (Knoxville, Tenn.). Carmody, last week's SAC Runner of the Week, posted a 16th place finish with a time of 29:26 in the 8k race. Brannon was close behind running a 29:54, good for 21st.
