BLUE HOSE FINISH SECOND AT LANDER INVITATIONAL 

GREENWOOD, S.C. – The Presbyterian College men’s cross country team finished in second place in the Lander University Invitational held Saturday morning in Greenwood, S.C.

The Blue Hose finished with 59 points, behind only Spartanburg Methodist, who won the meet with 32 points.

PC sophomore Matthew Elliot (Green Sea, S.C.) led the way for the Blue Hose with a time of 29:03 and a third place finish. Sophomore Nate Price (Atlanta, Ga.) wasn’t far behind as he finished with a time of 29:40, good for a ninth place finish. 

The Blue Hose had three more runners finish in the top 20 as sophomore Thad Palmer (Union, S.C.) finished 12th with a time of 29:57, junior Nicholas Williams (Greenwood, S.C.) finished 15th with a time of 30:20, and freshman Brandon Galloway (Pisgah Forest, N.C.) finished 20th with a time of 31:08.

Senior Luke Faulkenberry (Laurinburg, N.C.) finish three seconds behind Galloway, good for 21st place.
