BLUE HOSE FINISH ELEVENTH AT WINGATE INVITATIONAL

WINGATE, N.C. - The Presbyterian College men’s cross country team finished in 11th place at the Wingate University Invitational held Saturday morning at the Wingate University cross country facility.

Clayton College and State University won the event as they finished with 53 points, just ahead of second place finisher St. Andrews College.

Sophomore Nate Price (Atlanta, Ga.) led the Blue Hose as he finished with a time of 36:52, good for 26th place. Sophomore Matthew Elliott (Green Sea, S.C.) was next to finish for PC as he turned in a time of 38:30 and a 49th place finish. Sophomore Thad Palmer (Union, S.C.) and Luke Faulkenberry (Laurinburg, N.C.) finished 59th and 60th with times of 39:15 and 39:17.

The Blue Hose will be back in action next Saturday as they travel to Rock Hill, S.C. to take part in the Winthrop Invitational beginning at 10:00 a.m.
