BLUE HOSE CROSS COUNTRY FINISH SIXTH IN EYE OPENER

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Presbyterian College men’s cross country team took home a sixth place finish in the Eye Opener Meet held in Spartanburg S.C. on Saturday.

Sophomore Matthew Elliott (Green Sea, S.C.) was the first runner to cross the finish line for the Blue Hose as he finished in 28.45.31, good for 22nd place.  Sophomore Nate Price (Atlanta, Ga.) finished just behind Elliot as he came across in 28.58.57 and a 26th place finish.

Sophomore Thad Palmer (Union, S.C.), 29.29.80 and 35th place, and Junior Nicholas Williams (Greenwood, S.C.), 49th place in 30.25.31, were the only other PC finishers in the top 50.

PC will now travel to Greenwood, S.C. next Saturday to take part in the Lander University Invitational beginning at 8:30 a.m.
