BLUE
HOSE CROSS COUNTRY FINISH 13th IN NCAA SOUTHEAST
REGIONALS
WINGATE,
N.C. – The Presbyterian College men’s and women’s
cross country teams both finished in 13th place in
the 2005 NCAA Southeast Regional Championships that were held on
the campus of Wingate University Saturday morning.
Mars
Hill College took home both team championships as they had two
of the first ten finishers in both races.
Matthew
Elliott (Green Sea, SC) was the first to finish for the PC
men as he finished in 48th place with a time of
37:19. Thad
Palmer (Union, SC) was right behind Elliott as he came
across in 55th place with a time of 37:46.
On the
women’s side, Kari Koch (Conyers, Ga.) was the first to
finish for the Lady Blue Hose as she finished in 60th
place with a time of 27:31. Morgan Bennight (Charlotte,
NC) was next to finish with a time of 27:52, good for 67th
place.
