Blue Hose Men Take Second at
Limestone Invitational
GAFFNEY, S.C. –
The Presbyterian College men’s cross country team ran the 8K
course at the Limestone College Invitational held at the
Sunny Slope Farm on Saturday morning, coming in second place
out of eight teams with 67 points as three Blue Hose
harriers finished in the Top 15 for the Blue Hose.
Senior Matthew Elliott (Green Sea, S.C.) was top finisher
for the Blue Hose, striding in at 28:18 for seventh place.
The next finisher for Presbyterian was senior Thad Palmer
(Union, S.C.). Palmer placed 11th in the race with his time
of 28:34.
Coming in 12th place for the Blue Hose was freshman Adam
Harris (Atlanta, Ga.). Harris posted a time of 28:40, while
senior Nate Price (Atlanta, Ga.) claimed the 18th spot in
29:55.
Sophomore Matt Morrisette (Mt. Pleasant, S.C.) was 19th as
he came in four seconds behind Price. Freshman Hunter
Barnhardt (Roanoke, Va.) ran the course in 31:39 for
34th-place.
Coker
College captured the men’s team title with a low 46 points
as the Cobra runners posted an average course time of
28:25.80.
Presbyterian will back in action Friday, Oct. 6 as PC hosts
the Blue Hose Invitational in Clinton, S.C. The men’s race
will begin at 4 p.m. followed by the women at 4:45 p.m.
