PC MEN’S AND WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY ANNOUNCES
2006 SCHEDULE

CLINTON, S.C. – Third-year head coach Stephanie Allen announced the 2006 Presbyterian College men’s and women’s cross country schedule on Monday with the usual suspects and one new addition.

The first meet that Allen’s squads will participate in will be the 16th Annual Lander University/Connie Maxwell Invitational in Greenwood, S.C. on Sept. 2.  The following Saturday, the Blue Hose travel to Spartanburg, S.C. to compete in the 23rd Annual Eye Opener Meet at the Milliken Research Center.

On Sept. 16, the PC harriers make the trip to Rock Hill, S.C. for the Winthrop/Asics Invitational.  The newest meet on the schedule is the Limestone College Invitational on Sept. 23 in Gaffney, S.C.  The meet will be held at Sunny Slope Farms and will close out the month of September for the Blue Hose.  This invitational replaces the Francis Marion University Invitational from last year.

To kick-off the month of October will be PC’s own Blue Hose Invitational on Oct. 6.  The men’s race will start at 4 p.m. followed by the women’s at 4:45 p.m.  The Erskine College Invitational in Due West, S.C., will be on Oct. 12.

The Food Lion SAC Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championships will be Oct. 21 in Asheville, N.C. with Mars Hill College serving as the host institution.

Wingate University will once again serve as the host for the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional on November 4 in Wingate, N.C.  The national championships will be on November 18 at the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Fla., as part of the NCAA Division II Fall Sports Championship Festival.
