PC MEN’S
AND WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY ANNOUNCES
2006 SCHEDULE
CLINTON,
S.C. –
Third-year head coach Stephanie Allen announced the
2006 Presbyterian College men’s and women’s cross country
schedule on Monday with the usual suspects and one new
addition.
The
first meet that Allen’s squads will participate in will be
the 16th Annual Lander University/Connie Maxwell
Invitational in Greenwood, S.C. on Sept. 2. The following
Saturday, the Blue Hose travel to Spartanburg, S.C. to
compete in the 23rd Annual Eye Opener Meet at the
Milliken Research Center.
On Sept.
16, the PC harriers make the trip to Rock Hill, S.C. for the
Winthrop/Asics Invitational. The newest meet on the
schedule is the Limestone College Invitational on Sept. 23
in Gaffney, S.C. The meet will be held at Sunny Slope Farms
and will close out the month of September for the Blue
Hose. This invitational replaces the Francis Marion
University Invitational from last year.
To
kick-off the month of October will be PC’s own Blue Hose
Invitational on
Oct.
6. The men’s race will start at 4 p.m. followed by the
women’s at 4:45 p.m. The Erskine College Invitational in
Due West, S.C., will be on Oct. 12.
The Food
Lion SAC Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championships will
be Oct. 21 in Asheville, N.C. with Mars Hill College serving
as the host institution.
Wingate
University will once again serve as the host for the NCAA
Division II Southeast Regional on November 4 in Wingate,
N.C. The national championships will be on November 18 at
the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Fla., as part
of the NCAA Division II Fall Sports Championship Festival.
