BLUE HOSE GOLF RETURN TO NCAA REGIONALS FOR
THE EIGHTH TIME FOR THE LAST NINE YEARS

CLINTON, S.C. – Presbyterian College men’s golf team has been selected to participate in the 2005 NCAA Division II Super Regional Golf Tournament held at the Bull Creek Golf Course in Columbus, Georgia on May 2-4, 2005. The Blue Hose will be the #7 seed in the upcoming tournament.

The Blue Hose finished the season seventh in the final Southeast Region standings while wining their sixth Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Tournament earlier last week. Presbyterian College will be making their eighth trip to the NCAA regionals in the last nine years.

The Super Regional will be hosted by Columbus State University. PC is the only South Atlantic Conference school in the regional field. Conference automatic qualifiers are indicated in brackets next to the institution’s name. The five super regional tournaments encompass the current ten regions.

The top team from each region within the super regional and the top individual not with a team from each super regional (regardless of region) will advance to the finals May 17-20 at The Club at Savannah Harbor in Savannah, Georgia. The finals will be hosted by Armstrong Atlantic State University.

Ten additional teams will earn berths to the finals. These teams will be determined based on the previous three-year average of top-10 finishes of a super regional at the finals. For the 2005 championships, the additional super regional allotments are: Atlantic/Southeast (3), South/South Central (3),  and West/Northwest (4).
