PC FINISHES EIGHTH AT INDIAN BAYOU CLASSIC

DESTIN, FL. – Presbyterian College shot a final round 303 to finish with a 921 total score, to finish in eighth place at the 2005 Indian Bayou Classic earlier this week at the 7,078-yard, par-72, Indian Bayou Country Club in Destin, Fla.

The Blue Hose shot a 307 and 311 in the first two rounds on Monday.  

The University of West Florida placed first in the tournament with a final score on 871, followed by Delta State University, who shot an 881.

Individually, the Blue Hose were led by freshman Rob Varner (Columbus, Ga.) who finished with a three-round score of 223 (+7).  Freshman Taylor Thomas (Columbus, Ga.) was next to place for the Blue Hose as he finished with a 228 (+12), good for a tie in 26^th place. Junior Mason McKnight (Augusta, Ga.) shot a 235 (+19) to finish tied for 42, while junior Aaron Kersey (Lexington, S.C.) finished in a tie for 46^th with a 237 (+21).  Sophomore Andrew Strickland (Gainesville, Ga.) rounds out the Blue Hose with a 249 (+33), good for a 73^rd place tie.

PC will return to action October 3^rd when they take part in the Cougar Invitational at the Columbus Country Club in Columbus, Ga.
