COLLEGE MEN’S GOLF ANNOUNCES 2005-06 SCHEDULE
CLINTON,
S.C. — Nine regular season tournaments including hosting
the 13th Annual Presbyterian College
Intercollegiate highlight the 2005-06 Presbyterian College
men’s golf schedule announced today by first-year head coach
Thomas Addison.
The
Blue Hose will open the fall schedule on September 12-13 as
they participate in the Kiawah Island Invitational hosted by
the defending NCAA Division II National Champion Pacers of USC
Aiken at the Cougar Point Golf Club. The next weekend, PC
travels to Destin, Fla. to compete in the Indian Bayou
Collegiate Classic hosted by the University of North Alabama
at the Indian Bayou Golf Club on September 19-20.
The
team opens the month of October in Columbus, Ga. where they
will participate in the Cougar Invitational held at the
Columbus Country Club on October 3-4. The Blue Hose will
finish the fall portion of their schedule on October 17-18 in
Greenville, N.C. as they participate in the Pirate Fall
Intercollegiate hosted by East Carolina University.
PC
will open the spring schedule by hosting the 13th
Annual Presbyterian College Intercollegiate held at the
Musgrove Mill Golf Club in Clinton, S.C. on February 20-21.
The tournament moves to February after being held the last few
years in October. The team travels to Savannah, Ga. on
February 27-28 to compete in the AASU/Southbridge Pirate
Invitational held at the Southbridge Golf Club. The tournament
will be hosted by Armstrong Atlantic State University.
On
March 6-7, the Blue Hose will look to defend their tournament
title at the Richard Rendleman Intercollegiate held at the
Country Club of Salisbury in Salisbury, N.C. and hosted by
Catawba College. PC travels to Aiken, S.C. on March 13-14 to
participate in The Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate
hosted by USC Aiken at the Palmetto Golf Club.
The
Blue Hose will finish the regular season on March 27-28 when
they participate in the Bobcat Invitational held in Eatonton,
Ga. at the Golf Club at Cuscowilla and hosted by Georgia
College & State University. On April 10-11, PC will look
to defend their Food Lion/South Atlantic Conference Tournament
title at the Country Club at Catawba Springs in Hickory, N.C.
The SAC Championships will be hosted by Lenoir-Rhyne College
for the second year in a row.
The
NCAA Division II Super Regional Tournament will be held on May
1-3 at a site yet to be determined. The NCAA Division II
Finals will take place on May 16-19 at the Glade Springs
Resort in Daniels, WWa.
The
Blue Hose return 10 letterwinners and five starters from last
year’s squad that posted seven top 10 finishes including a
pair of tournament titles out of 11 tournaments.
