Aflac/Cougar Invitational
Final Results
COLUMBUS, GA - Columbus State rallied
from eight shots back after Monday's first round and won its
own event on Tuesday, taking the Aflac/Cougar Invitational
by seven shots over Valdosta State, Georgia College & State
University and Barry. The Cougars shot a final-round 280
(-4) and were the only team to post an under-par round on
Tuesday at the par-72 Green Island Country Club.
Presbyterian improved dramatically as a
team on the second and final day of action at the event,
carding a team round of 288 on Tuesday after shooting a 301
on Monday in the first round.
Presbyterian’s two-round total of 589
left them in sole possession of 11th.
Individually, Presbyterian’s Hugh
Morrison and Patrick Coleman both garnered two-day totals of
145 to finish the event tied for 27th. Teammate
Patrick Townes acquired a two-round output of 147 to finish
in a tie for 37th.
In the overall individual standings, it
took an extra hole before Armstrong
Atlantic State's Chris Wolfe defeated
Johan Cronvall of GC&SU on the first playoff hole. Wolfe
posted a final round 69 to match his round from Monday,
while Cronvall carded a 70 in the final round to finish at
138 in a deadlock at -4. Playing the 18th, Cronvall left his
approach short of the green. Wolfe then landed his approach
about eight feet past the hole and it spun back to inside

settled for a bogey, Wolfe rolled in the easy birdie for the
win.

+10), Armstrong Atlantic State (581, +13), USC Aiken (583,
