PC Men's Golf To Host 14th Annual PC Intercollegiate

CLINTON, S.C. – Presbyterian College men’s golf team will open its spring season by playing host to the 14th edition of the Presbyterian College Intercollegiate beginning on Monday, Feb. 19.

The two-round tournament that will end on Tuesday, Feb. 20 will be held at the 6384-yard, par 72 Musgrove Mill Golf Course in Clinton, S.C.

This year’s PC Intercollegiate will include 16 squads and five individuals. The only NCAA Division I team in the field, Wofford College will play in the event with two teams as the Terriers will have a black and gold team at the PC Intercollegiate.

The PC Intercollegiate will have nine schools from the state of South Carolina involved, including defending three-time NCAA Division II champion USC-Aiken. Six South Atlantic Conference teams including PC will also play in the event.

The Pacers won the 13th annual PC Intercollegiate last season by distancing themselves from the rest of the field by shooting identical scores of 297 at the two-day tournament to finish with a two-day total score of 594. Coker College, who shot 309 in the final round and 614 for the tournament, finished 20 strokes behind the Pacers in second place.

Individually, USCA's Scott Brown won medalist honors with a two-day total of 146, outpacing his teammate  Roberto Diaz, who also shot 146. The first place tie was broken on the scorecards.

The teams will hold a practice round at Musgrove Mill on Sunday and then will open the tournament on Monday with the first tee time starting at 8:00 am.
