PC Men’s Lacrosse Teams With America Supporting Americans

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College men’s lacrosse team is doing all that they can to help troops abroad, joining forces with an organization that matches groups with U.S. Military units serving overseas.

The America Supporting Americans organization has matched up the Blue Hose with the 3-8 CAV D Company that is currently based in Iraq and has been there for quite some time. The Blue Hose recently put together 10 boxes of non-perishable items that were sent to Iraq and the soldiers.

“The America Supporting Americans program is something that I feel really strongly about and I am honored that my student-athletes took it upon themselves to help our American soldiers,” remarked PC men’s lacrosse coach Jason Childs. “If this in some way helps the cause then we are doing our job at home so that they can do their job overseas to make it a better place for all of us at home.”

PC is one of 26 lacrosse teams nationwide, including Cornell, Duke, Ohio State, Hobart and the Air Force Academy, to help out with the America Supporting Americans program.

Founded in 1967, America Supporting Americans is a non-profit organization that links individual units in all branches of the military with groups, businesses and communities across the country.
