25 BLUE HOSE CRUISE PAST CRUSADERS 9-0 IN TIGERVILLE, S.C. — Presbyterian College won all three doubles matches and won all six singles flights in straight sets en route to a 9-0 victory over North Greenville College in men’s tennis action Tuesday afternoon. The No. 25-ranked Blue Hose improve to 10-6 on the season, while North Greenville drops to 10-4 on the year. Presbyterian cruised in all three doubles including at the No. 3 flight as freshman Brad Luciuk (Saskatoon, Canada) and Pat Fediuk (Kimberley, Canada) defeated Sanchez Smith and Andy Hack 8-3. In singles, the Blue Hose claimed all six matches in straight sets and surrendered only 10 points in flights 3-6. PC senior Hector Rincon (London, England) defeated Tomas Kirstikas 7-5, 6-4 in the tightest match of the day. Reigning SAC Player of the Week, PC senior Nick Osborne (Hutton Rudby, England) defeated Gabriel Altmayer 6-2, 6-1 at the No. 3 flight, while Luciuk defeated Andy Hack of NGU 6-1, 6-1 at No. 6 singles. The Blue Hose return to action on Friday, April 6, when they host the No. 6–ranked Pirates of Armstrong Atlantic State University at 2:30 pm. |
