PC Men’s Tennis Off To Strong Start In Hilton Head
HILTON HEAD, S.C. – No. 20 Presbyterian
has began its four-game neutral site road swing with a 2-1
record with wins over Tiffin and West Liberty State. PC’s
only loss was to NCAA Division I opponent Coastal Carolina.
The Blue Hose defeated Tiffin 8-1 on
Saturday by claiming all of the doubles matches and five of
the six singles matches.
Two of the Blue Hose tennis players did
not surrender a game as Patrick Fediuk at No. 5 singles and
Andrew Lee at No. 6 singles won 6-0, 6-0.
The 22nd-ranked doubles team
in NCAA Division II, Presbyterian’s tandem of Aaron Chapman
and Matthew Martin won 8-0 in No. 1 doubles against Tiffin.
The Blue Hose claimed a 9-0 victory on
Sunday over West Liberty State.
On Monday morning the Blue Hose fell
for the first time in three games with the 5-1 loss to the
Chanticleers.
Chapman picked up PC’s only point in
the contest with his 6-3, 1-6, 10-5 win over Coastal
Carolina’s No. 1 player Plamen Tzvetkov.
Although PC did not acquire the doubles
point in the match, losing two of three matches, Chapman and
partner Martin were able to win at No. 1 doubles over
Tzvetkov-Richard Redding, 8-3.
The Blue Hose had today off, but
conclude their Hilton Head trip with a game at 8 a.m. on
Wednesday, March. 14 against Bloomsburg.
