PC Wins Seventh Straight

GAFFNEY, S.C. – The Blue Hose men’s tennis team made it seven in a row on Tuesday afternoon with a 7-2 victory over Limestone College.

The 27th-ranked Blue Hose are now 12-4 on the season.

The 22nd-ranked tandem in NCAA Division II, Aaron Chapman (Mount Pleasant, Australia) and Matthew Martin (Surrey, British Columbia, Canada) picked up an 8-5 victory over the Saints’ Munn/Elsborg at No. 1 doubles to kick things off for PC on the afternoon.

The Blue Hose would eventually sweep the doubles action as Zach Glankler (Highland Village, Texas) and partner Andrew Lee (Myrtle Beach, S.C.) garnered a 9-7 victory at No. 2 doubles, while Pat Fediuk (Kimberley, British Columbia, Canada) and Michael Nicol (Spartanburg, S.C.) tallied an easy 8-1 victory over Limestone’s Warnholtz and Banuelos at No. 3 doubles.

PC obtained four of the six singles flights with Chapman, Martin, Nicol and Fediuk all claiming singles wins.

Presbyterian next welcomes Lander to the Templeton Tennis Courts for a 2:30 p.m. dual match on Thursday, April 5. The Blue Hose will then travel the next day to face off against Tusculum at 3 p.m. on Friday, April 6 in the postponed match from last Sunday.
