BLUE HOSE BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL LISTED AMONG NCAA 
STATISTICAL LEADERS

CLINTON, S.C. — Presbyterian College baseball and softball teams are listed among the NCAA Division II leaders in the latest statistics announced this week.  

The softball team (35-10, 4-4 SAC), led by first-year head coach Jeff Nickerson, are 23rd in scoring (5.84) and 19th in winning percentage (0.791).

Individually, preseason All-SAC senior outfielder Amanda Teal (Chapin, SC) is 25th in triples per game (0.15) and 28th in runs batted in per game (1.08). Freshman second baseman Rachel Bailey (Howard, OH) is ranked 24th in runs per game (1.07) and freshman first baseman Jessica Peterka (Sarasota, FL) is ranked 25th in runs batted in per game (1.09). Also freshman pitcher Megan Wheelus (Florence, SC) and sophomore pitcher Samantha Slater (Westerville, OH) are ranked 22nd in the country in saves (2.0).

The Lady Blue Hose play a doubleheader today against SAC foe Mars Hill College at 2:00 p.m. 

PC's senior centerfielder/pitcher Kevin White (Spartanburg, SC) is ranked 22nd in victories (6.0) for the Blue Hose. 

The baseball team is (20-19, 7-8 SAC), led by 11th-year head coach Doug Kovash, plays rival Newberry College tomorrow afternoon at 5:00 p.m. and Saturday at 12:00 noon for a doubleheader.
