Monday,
April 5, 2004 PRESBYTERIAN’S VINING NAMED ROCK HILL, S.C. — Presbyterian College’s Jamie Vining has been named this week’s South Atlantic Conference Softball Position Player of the Week selections announced today.
On the week, she hit .417 with two homeruns, one triple, six RBI,
and five runs scored while posting a 1.083 slugging percentage
and a .429 on-base percentage. In PC’s 8-5 win over Wingate,
she was one-for-three at the plate with one RBI. In PC’s 5-2
loss to Lenoir-Rhyne, she hit two-for-three with one homerun,
one triple, two RBI and two runs scored. In the second game
versus the Bears as PC won 13-1, she hit two-for-four with one
homerun, two runs scored, and two RBI. For the season, Vining
is hitting .351 with three homeruns, 23 RBI, and 34 runs
scored. The South Atlantic Conference players of the week are determined by
a vote of the league’s eight Sports Information Directors.
