LADY BLUE HOSE SOFTBALL MOVES TO FOURTH IN
THE LATEST NCAA SOUTH ATLANTIC REGION POLL

CLINTON, S.C. — The Presbyterian College softball team moved up two spots to fourth in the final NCAA Division II South Atlantic Region Poll announced today.

The Lady Blue Hose have won a program-record 44 games against 11 losses on the season and are coming off last Saturday’s 2-0 win over Carson-Newman College to claim the program’s first Food Lion/South Atlantic Conference (SAC) Tournament title. The win over the Lady Eagles also clinched PC’s first postseason appearance by earning the tournament’s automatic bid to the NCAA South Atlantic Regional Tournament.

The South Atlantic Regional will be held May 6-9, but location of the regional tournament and the six-team field will be announced early next week.

The Lady Blue Hose played one of the toughest schedules in the region this season which is apparent in this week’s region poll. PC has played seven teams in the region’s top 10 and holds a 7-6 mark.
