the sixth with a two out RBI single by Rachel

second game, PC jumped out to a 9-2 lead over the first four
innings and cruised to a relatively easy 9-3 victory. PC jumped
on the board in the first on a Jessica

Bailey. After
Anderson took the lead with two runs in the bottom of the
first, PC took the lead for good with two runs on two hits. Amanda
Carvajal (Merced,

came around to score on a Bailey triple down the right field
line to give the Blue Hose the lead. PC would
score three more in the third and three in the fourth to set
the final margin. Peterka had
three hits to lead PC at the plate, while Shannon
Vining (Fayetteville, GA), Bailey, Hannon, and Hixson
all had two hits. Jessica
Flanagan (Piedmont, SC) picked up the complete game
victory on the mound for the Blue Hose, allowing only one
earned run on seven hits. PC will return at action tomorrow as they host North Greenville College in a doubleheader beginning at 1pm. Game
