PC Softball Splits With Limestone On Tuesday
GAFFNEY, S.C.- Presbyterian College’s softball team
split a doubleheader with Limestone College on Tuesday at
Saints Field. The Lady Blue Hose won the first game 5-2 and
lost the second game 8-0.
Mary Gordon (Vernon, Conn.) picked up the win for the Lady
Blue Hose in game one to stay perfect on the season and Lisa
DeMarr was credited with the loss.
Kellyn Henderson (Simpsonville, S.C.) was a perfect 2-for-2
from the plate for the Lady Blue Hose in the game one win,
tallying an RBI.
Henderson was one of four PC players with an RBI. Rachel
Bailey (Howard, Ohio) was 2-for-4 on the day with an RBI,
while Ashley Ford (Marietta, Ga.) was 2-for-4 with an RBI.
Jessica Peterka (Sarasota, Fla.) acquired PC’s other RBI in
the contest.
In the Second game the Lady Saints came out with hot bats
and got rolling by scoring two runs in the second and never
looked back defeating the Lady Blue Hose 8-0.
Candace Evans (Lexington, S.C.) belted two homeruns for the
Lady Saints in the second game. Chelsea Anthony (Pickens,
S.C.) also went deep for the Lady Saints and Brittany Owen
(Chesapeake, MD) added a double for the Lady Saints.
Presbyterian next welcomes Trevecca Nazarene to the PC
Softball Complex for a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m. on
Wednesday, March 7.
