CLINTON, S.C. - New Presbyterian head softball coach Dave Majeski will host his inaugural fastpitch softball camps on Saturday, Nov. 4 and 11 at the Presbyterian College Softball Field.

The one-day camps will be directed by Majeski and his assistant Mandy Schuerman. The duo will focus on the basic knowledgebase that is associated with the sport.

The coaches will be aided by Blue Hose softball players who will interact with the participants and assist with the varying camp activities.

The Nov. 4 camp commences at 10 a.m. and will run until 4 p.m. in the afternoon. Many areas will be touched on at the camp, but the fundamentals of offense and defense will be the focus of the camp. There will also be for a nominal fee an extra pitching and catching session from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The age range for the Presbyterian Fastpitch Softball Camp will be 7-15. There is a $100 registration fee and an extra $50 fee for those individuals that want to stay longer to be a part of the pitching and catching session.

The Nov. 11 camp will be for the more experienced. Dubbed the Presbyterian College Elite Prospect Fastpitch Softball Camp, the event will kick off at 9 a.m. and run until 4:30 p.m.

The main difference in the Nov. 11 camp is that it will be divided into two sessions. The first session will take place from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. and will focus on hitting and offense. The 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. session will touch on pitching and catching.

The registration fee for this date is $100 for both sessions or $75 per session.
